Our Leather & Designs

Rustic Kodiak

Rugged, durable and beaming with natural character, this gorgeous oil-tanned leather is ideal for those who love to go on adventures- be it a trek into the mountains or a visit to your local cafe for a snack and some "Me" time.

This leather ranges from smooth to pebbly and has natural markings that include scars and branding marks. It is soft and pliable, but still tough enough to weather exposure to the elements.

It patinas and ages beautifully over time and will definitely become an heirloom piece that can be passed down some day. Each hide also varies in richness of color- some are dark brown, while others are lighter. True to its name, this leather has markings ranging from scratches to bug bites to scars and branding marks.

Kodiak comes in a variety of different colors. The Colors include, but are not limited to: Brown Kodiak, Mustard Kodiak, Berry Berry (Purple) Kodiak, Stonehenge (Gray) Kodiak, Tuscany (Green) Kodiak, Midnight Blue Kodiak, Crimson Tide (Red) Kodiak, Sequoia Kodiak, & Black Kodiak.

Kodiak Colors from Left to Right:

Black, Tuscany, Stonehenge, Crimson Tide, Berry Berry, Mustard, Midnight Blue, Brown

Black Beauty

Black Beauty has a soft, slick, squishy feel, yet it is pliable. Its texture varies from smooth to wrinkly.

Dublin Cognac

Rustic Dublin is naturally veg tan infused with a rich blend of natural waxes. It has all the supple characteristics of darker surface color that varies and showcases the natural full grain. You won’t be disappointed with this lovely leather. It will tell your story and turn into a masterpiece of an heirloom that will last through generations. Dublin is thick, yet pliable much like its cousin Snicker Doodle.

Nude

This exquisite, smooth European vegetable-tanned leather is full grain and high grade. It starts off in its pure state and eventually patinas to a creamy caramel color, and then years later, to a well-aged tobacco brown. It is a leather that definitely "tells your story" to the world.

Forsythia

This is a very lush, buttery, yummy Horween leather. While it will darken with use it will most likely not scratch easily. Very pliable and squishy somewhat mustard yellow. Forsythia is a vegetable tanned leather with the best aroma therapy you could imagine.

Salted Caramel

Salted Caramel is a vegetable tanned leather which varies in color and thickness and will make nicely with age.

Amelia

Introducing Amelia, named after a trailblazer in aviation's history Amelia Earhart. Brilliantly rugged, complex and ready to take flight. A combination of our beloved Kodiak and a new leather. Lucius and pliable and ready to wrap your book, journal or inserts.

It is soft, smooth and pliable, but still tough enough to weather exposure to the elements.

Bee Happy

This creation came from a weekend of me playing in the studio in the attempts to make a clean classic looking TN. I was sitting for such a long time and out of frustration I started to cut, and sew. I really wasn’t taken with it until I stared to play with it. Then just out of nowhere it made me happy. Sometimes you just have to jump in and make your own happy and you’d be surprised how easily things start to shine.

Build Your Bee Happy can be made from leathers of your choosing. The main body, upright pocket, and wrap pocket can all be different leathers.

Toasted Flan

Toasted Flan is the best description that comes to mind for this scrumptious leather. It is from the same purveyor as Tumbleweed. The inside feels like a warm winter blanket with the softness of suede, while the outside has a sheen that resembles the top of a nicely toasted flan desert.

The Kudu Classic offers a more formal version of the Kudu than the casual Kudu Waxy. Whilst still featuring the natural marks and scratches of a wild antelope, the grain is more pronounced and provides a more classic gloss finish than the matte pull-up of the waxed version.

Chatelaine

Chatelaine was created out of the passion we all have for travel and tucking our lives into a carryall. I wanted something a little more slim that would not only carry at least one book but would grow with the book as I used it; hence the adjustable slide strap. The strap slides through a leather loop with no hardware needed. You can pull it tight so it holds 1 or more inserts. The chatelaine will have 2 holes to house 2 bands. The holes will be positioned over under not side by side; allowing to keep the cover as slim as possible while giving you the ability to use it as a T.N. The rear is a zipper pocket and the interior front has a secretarial pocket.

The notebook can be slipped underneath the bands. You can also slip the front cover underneath the slot pocket.

The Chatelaine is offered in Elizabeth (Hand Stained), Isabel (Dublin Cognac), & Victoria (Black Beauty). Limited Edition Chatelaines include, Lipstick Red and Kodiak.

Naked Kodiak Wrap

Beautifully unique and one of a kind two leather combination. Nude and Kodiak pair well as the oils from the Kodiak will transfer nicely to help age the nude veg tanned leather.

The exterior wrap pocket can be used to tuck in your writing instruments, keys or receipts.

Tumbleweed

This is an imported, highly waxed, tanned leather from a premier tannery who supplies shoe leathers to some of the most recognized brands such as Clarks, Dr. Martins and more. Tumbleweed is not for everyone. It's thick ,yet floppy and puckers at the bands. Each piece is unique. This leather is extremely rustic.

Tumbleweed comes in Original or Olive.
